Here's what I think about it from my research: It's gold plated. 15 jewels and I think it's from before May, 1933. The date conclusion coincides with the Omega serial number chart, and it has the tiny service date etched into the rim of the case. Is there more to know?
Not my family heirloom, maybe someone elses. It was in the bottom of a box of stuff from a garage sale. Is it worth anything? I was thinking around $200. I'm planning on selling it, so I don't want to cut my own throat.
Ah, in terms of value I'm afraid there isn't really much, you can check completed listings on eBay, but if I were selling it, I'd expect probably $50-120 or so, there are a lot of these, far more than anyone expects, and almost no demand, as nobody uses pocket watches, and the servicing costs more than the watch does.
Prices aren't very high on pocket watches recently. The value of the gold is the majority of it unless a complication is involved - and that's not really anything for a plated piece.
Best use for these is corporate gifts or gifts for family members, they're impressive when you look at them, but they cost almost nothing.
