Perhaps there were more than one style, and I'd be happy to see some examples. My main interest, though, is the size of the crown and internal measurements (e.g. tap. etc.). Thanks in advance! Tony C.
Crowns are case parts, not movement parts. In that sense, there is no "correct" crown for a particular movement. If you think of say a Cal. 56X it can be used in all sorts of different cases, so front loading cases with split stems, small dress watches with small case tubes, and also the SM300's that have both screw down and non-screw down crowns. Any crown with the same tap size that will fit on the stem from that movement will be "correct" for that movement even if it doesn't fit the case. What case is your Cal. 332 movement inside? Cheers, Al
Hi Tony, I see a crown listed for this case - I can't tell you if it the original crown that would have come on the case when new, but it's what Omega calls up for this case now - part number is 069ST42045. Omega doesn't provide any dimensions unfortunately, just a part number, so I can't tell you what the diameter, post diameter, thickness, or tap size is for that one. If I had one in stock I could measure it but I don't have that specific one on hand. The case tube is 090ST0056, and again I don't have that specific one on hand - I have 090ST0055 and 090ST0057, but not 090ST0056. But here is some information on the stem - only one is listed (330 stem for the 332), and it gives the thread as: THREAD: S0.90 So it's a 0.9 mm thread on the stem. Cheers, Al
Probably not what you were thinking of: http://www.passionchrono.com/en/crowns/5464-omega-seamaster-120-crown.html#idTab1 However, I think Jules Borel has what you are looking for: http://cgi.julesborel.com/cgi-bin/matcgi2?ref=\]ZETESFZq 8100-1016Y CROWN, YELLOW WP TAP 10 LA42023 I think it's a clover crown, correct? gatorcpa
Thanks guys, and especially AL and Gator for the detail. Funnily enough it came with the one that Gator showed first. It works and fits fine, but is obviously a later style. I agree that a clover would be correct. The problem with the one that you linked to, Gator, is that it yellow. However, I now know what to look for, so thanks again, guys.
