A constellation of sorts. Looks like a child repainted the dial. Value: just about zero... It could have some parts value depending on what's inside and it's internal condition.

The bubbling at the bottom of the dial. It’s uh, nice?

Are you the seller or did you buy it at that price? $12k?! I really hope you didn’t buy that, even at 5% of that price.

That’s because it is a redial, which means at some point in its history someone has painted over the original dial. That makes it a lot less collectible and lowers the value.

The constellation line was released in 1952, so that rules that out. The dial is damaged and the star is wonky. You need to get it opened to get the reference and serial number to have a better idea, but other than a family connection, it is not a special or valuable watch to someone else.

Well the dial is badly refurbished and the crown is replaced.
But Perhaps the case and movement can still be used for parts and it’ll be worth a couple hundred dollars?

Depending on who’s doing the appraisal it may not be worth the paper it’s written on.

Is the back gold or steel?
If gold, it’s likely solid gold and is worth slightly more than the gold value.
If it’s steel, it’s gold plated and worth a couple of hundred dollars.

The watch clearly left the owner's possession, since the dial was completely repainted and the crown was replaced. The dial furniture was apparently removed for the repainting, and then replaced, hence the wonky star. However, the refurbisher did not attempt to re-paint the minute marks (most likely an inner minute track, given the short minute and seconds hands) or any other printing on the dial.

No shame in selling it for what you can get for it, but I hope you were honest with what it was.

I doubt that sold for 1350. Unless the buyer was pretty stupid
