    Hi,

I’m new to this forum and watches. I bought this omega seamaster de ville automatic with a box yesterday. Does anyone know when this watch was made? I think its a original strap and crown and clasp. Im eager to find out more about it :) thanks in advance / Peter IMG_2691.jpg IMG_2692.jpg IMG_2696.jpg

    Hejsa Peter :)

The buckle and box are original, but not to the watch. The buckle is an earlier type, as is the box - both fifties items. The strap is most likely a replacement too, but looks very nice :)

If I remember correctly, the Seamaster DeVilles are early from the early to mid sixties.

Thanks guys. The seller said that the strap was original for the watch. It says omega on the strap and it looks old but maybe to another omega then.. What about price for this watch+box? Does anyone know? :)

These watches are a bit all over the place. You can find these for under EUR 500 (without box) but you can sell them for more. I think this piece is quite buyable for most omega buyers because of the condition of the dial and case (pictures a bit blurry), the box, buckle and strap. And James Bond wore a SMDV so that's a big bonus...

seems like single piece case, with no detachable caseback. can hardly see the movement unless through top open i may be wrong with the picture.

How much did you pay for it? I paid $275 USD for the same model (no box) about six years ago (and still in my collection)

Ok thanks Shabbaz :D sorry for kinda blurry pics but the overall condition of the watch is very good i think. It was placed in the box for many years apparently and the owner didnt use it much. Also I havent seen green boxes before, is that rare?

pjuuuhh... i`ve seen similar watches here i sweden but never with original strap and boxes. The crown seems original as well. How about the glass? Is there anything i could detect? And what type of caliber? Many questions now..

Not exactly rare but not all over the place either. It's a nice box for a very nice watch. Movement is probably a 565.

Nice watch ! I think the small red box is the right one for this kind of watches from the 60’s and 70’s
