This watch was given to my great grandfather in 1961 for 25 years service from General Motors Pontiac division.

 

We really need to see a picture of the inside of the case back to tell you very much. But at first glance it seems to be an American Collection, USA cased manual wind movement, probably calibre 283/284.

 

It was a sad day when GM shut down the Pontiac Division! My first car was a 1972 Gran Prix with the 455ci V8, it was a very fun car for a teenager. Borrowed picture but mine was very similar to this...

Anyway back to the watch...like John stated, the inside of the caseback will reveal much.
