I have taken this Watch to a local jeweler . It has been serviced and runs great. He offered me 50 bucks and told me they were throw away watches . Anyone have any info on this model
Photos are not good, but I suppose it's a gold-filled MegaQuartz model. They are not terribly valuable, but I think it's an exaggeration to say they are disposable. Not to everyone's taste, but I know people who collect them.
Find a new watchmaker. Not the most collectable but not a $50 throw away. If he offered $300 maybe ( don't know enough or much about these models though)
And I mean I can say I'm wearing an Omega right ? They are great watches I hear. I think it's pretty cool
The bracelet alone would fetch $50 on eBay most likely. Serviced and running correctly, the watch itself on a basic strap would get you several hundred - probably $300 or better as STANDY said above.
Well, they do say you should get quartz watches serviced. I just don't know anyone who actually does it. ;-)
I have had a TAG Link professional SL/E serviced. Have the battery changed and pressure tested every 2 years and serviced it a few years back by TAG (cost $650aud) still enjoy wearing it and it's been my go to swimming, fishing wear anywhere watch since new.
A real vintage Accutron is not a quartz watch - it's a tuning fork. If it just has the Accutron name on it and is modern, it is probably quartz.
No it's from 1969. Right it's a accutron so technically not quartz but still have my tag professional quartz serviced too. That's from the 80s
I've seen a few people who do know the value of a watch and try to take advantage of people who don't know the value of a watch.
