The front loading case (we occasionally call it 'unishell') tells me it had to be made between 1959 and 197x. If I were wagering, I'd narrow that window to 1959 to 1963, simply because many of these unishell watches had DE VILLE on the dial from 1963 on because they were so popular in America. If it's 18k instead of 14k, that would be the one thing that keeps me from being positive of that time window. If it were 14k, I'd be 99% sure. It almost certainly has a 55x caliber inside, probably a 550 or 552.

    ps - awesome dial!

I have the exact same watch - with a different dial. 1963, a 552 movement.

    Cheers, K
