    Hi,

Very keen on adding a PO to my collection but can't decide on the size. Leaning towards the 42 mm but concerned that it is too thick whereas the 39.5 mm is far slimmer. Does the 42 mm version fit under a shirt cuff?

A PO is always at least 15mm thick, with some around 17mm. It is not meant to be a watch you wear with a formal/dress shirt.

I love my 43.5mm PO, but if I've got to wear a dress shirt, I switch to the Explorer.

14.2 thank you on the first gen ;) 14.6 on the 39.5. Or maybe reversed...

    But yes...

As for under a shirt cuff. It depends on you and depends on the shirt. My 45.5mm 3313 is under 17mm and with my 7.5 wrist I can do it on about 1/2 of my tailored dress shirts. If you have larger wrists or do French cuffs you should be ok.

For everyday use a 39.5 PO is good and fits under a cuff just fine. You just need to set the cuff to be casually loose. I seldom see people with the James Bond style cuffs :) Mine is below... 6.5 wrist.
