anyone knows what is the role of this missing screw? the movement seems to work without it.

It's a case screw, same as the one on the opposite side. That's how the movement is secured inside the case.

Thanks, btw is it normal that when i try to adjust the time and rotate the pointers anti clockwise the pointer of the seconds also rotates?
