·I have a 166.020 case with custom engraving for an individual that I don't know. Is it worth trying to find a new case or better to just leave as is?

There are quite a few threads on the forum about engravings. Check out https://omegaforums.net/threads/engraved-cases-how-do-you-feel.112456/ If you like them or not is highly personal. It’s your watch, but I’d vote leave it as is, or sell it to someone who appreciates the history of it.
