I often see watches with these two calibres sell at reasonable prices compared to similar watches with 500 series movements. Is it simply a question of the smaller cases, parts availability, or lack of interest?
The diameter of the case is smaller, so there's less demand for them. They are nice watches for smaller wrists though!
For some reason, full rotor automatics with subdial seconds at 6 don't bring the money they should IMO. But make a bumper, especially a chronometer, in the same configuration and you'll get 3x the selling price. Probably does have something to do with size. Same with Longines calibers 22A, 19A, and 35x full rotor autos w/ subdial seconds.
Nice watch...I think I remember that one from years ago when I was looking for my first Seamaster. Case is super sharp!
Actually this was the first Omega I bought. Redialed Seamaster in a Constellation case... From then on I wanted all original.
No, I meant Steve complaining you cost him $50. .... but it's interesting to know you started the same way I did.
He may have to sell some watches to fund it! Finally, a positive of the US education system, more watches for us!
