So, I took a gamble on a Flagship Ultrachron Chronometer and it turns out it needs a calendar wheel and possibly other parts. The question I have is, what, mechanically, differentiates the chronometer from the non-chronometer movements? I am looking for a donor movement and would like to keep the watch as "chronometery" as possible should I decide to sell it. Thoughts?
It's more about the adjustment than anything else, and of course the gold rotor weight. Other than that, you can swap most parts as needed.
I am pretty sure the rotor and bridge are fine. Steve said a couple screws had some rust. I will try to pop her open tonight and take some pics of the movement. Thanks!
