    Hi all,

Last few days I´ve noticed that my 105.012 hour register hand is gradually moving forward until it reaches the 2nd hour position, when the chrono function is not activated. It normally takes few hours to reach that position, and I haven´t test it for more than 24 hours without pressing reset, so I don´t know if it´d continue moving forward.

When I press the reset pusher it resets to zero, but in few minutes it starts moving forward again. It normally resets perfectly at first, but sometimes it needs to be pressed two or three times, and each time it gradually moves back until it reaches zero.

When the chrono function is activated, there´s not problem at all; all the registers and hands work as they should and the previously mentioned issue doesn´t happen.

I´d like to ask what the experts think the problem can be, and also want to know if it´s recomended to stop wearing the watch and have it fixed right now, or if it´s something that can wait until the next service without damaging anything inside the movement, as it really doesn´t bother me and if possible I´d prefer waiting longer for service.

    Thanks.

The 321 "hour creep" a well known activity those movements partake in.

Thanks for the "hour creep" tip. I googled it and was just reading the thread you mentioned.

Conveniently, Calibre 320 is immune to this fault ;)

It's a simple adjustment that should be done at the time of service - this is tested on every 321, 861, 1861, 1866 etc. that I service. The test is done before putting the dial and hands on, since the adjustment for this is on the dial side.

Other than wear on the cam from repeated resetting, this is not something that will cause damage or anything, so it can wait.

    Cheers, Al

    That´s reassuring Al, thanks:thumbsup:
I´ll wait a bit longer to service it, but not too much, as we know that the end of parts supply is near;)

Coincidentally, my 105.012-66 developed this a couple of months ago. After googling it and finding a thread here I decided to leave it a while. However, after after a couple of days it drive me completely nuts and it went away for a service.

Hope or you cope better than I did!!

You to reiterate what others have said. I was told it was a very simple fix and added nothing to the cost of the service.
