Hi all,

Wondering if this cal 30 from 1939 is either a redial or refinished. Having trouble finding other examples of this specific dial. Thoughts?

Yes, refinished/re-dialed, same thing.

 

Compare it to a pretty lady with a great face, and then you see her in a swimsuit and the body doesn't quite match the face.

Same here, pertty face (from a distance), but the movement/case tell the history.

 

The logo is completely off for a watch of this era... hence a redial

And I second Jim´s statement. The discrepancy of dial condition versus movement condition tells you all.

 

The "nuclear white" is quite a give away too.
