c1948-1950 Gruen Curvex in 10k white gold fill, $2 CDN

Up for sale for $2 Canadian is this c1948-1950 (dated to the best of my knowledge) Gruen Curvex in 10k white gold fill. Why is this in the accessories section instead of the watches for sale section? Well, the back pops off from time to time, so this is probably a parts watch. I wanted to offer it here because the shape/design is pretty compelling, and the applied furniture looks great when the light catches it, and hopefully it can be made whole again, or contribute as a donor. The watch runs and presents well, but note that the second hand is a replacement. The watch has a nifty cal 370 Curvex Precision movement.
