To me this seems a rare watch, there are lots of 751 c case conies around but a 564 is rare one, any thoughts http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222197009824?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
then there's this one also from Japan, the case is wrong for 1966 and the hands should be pie slices http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mens-OMEG...919699e&pid=100005&rk=2&rkt=6&sd=222197009824Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Not rare really: there are also c-cases powered by a 561. Would be more concerned about the polished upper-case: should be orbital satin brush: noting much left of that. If you read-up on Desmonds' blog, you'll tell the difference Hope this helps W Edit: I re-read Desmonds' blog. Should state ; 'not rare at all'
What's wrong with the hands of the 2nd one? Next to the fact that the 2nd one has issues with the rotor rubbing the inside of the caseback. my2Ksh
nothing wrong with them its the claimed age as being 1966 that I have issue with, c case watches were late 60's
The C-shape is rather mid sixties, the first one, 168.009, was released in late 1964. It then had a cal. 561, and later changed into the 168.017 and cal. 564. (Ref. Desmonds article on C-shapes: http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.se/2008/12/constellation-c-shape-omegas-child-of.html) The above linked watch can definitely be from 1966, as the serial number on the movement indicates.
