    sorry, I have nothing ...

    just crossed my mind the totally different meaning of second hand (=used) and second hand (minute hand) in your title. ;-)

    Be gentle, gentlemen - clearly English not his first language.

    To the OP, your post does not scan, or make sense in English.

    Try again?

    I'm guessing that the question is; given the same amount of money, does it makes more sense to buy a brand new watch our a vintage one?

    That's a vanilla or chocolate question, practicality or sensibility has little to do with anything.

    For all we know, he/she could be asking whether it's better to buy a watch used (2nd hand) or new if the price were the same.

    He/she could also be asking if it's better to buy 2 watches used or 1 new watch.

    ::confused2::

    My take is .... either to buy a pre-owned luxury watch or buy a new non-luxury (feature?) watch....a spend similar dough....

    just wait for the little to be out of the wash bucket to get clarification...

    Second hand is a watch that was owned by someone else. The seconds hand is the hand on the dial that shows you the seconds. End confusion.

    Thank you for the correction Al. Now if only that rule would be followed (just like deployant clasp).
