I have the opportunity to buy this goldcap 168.029 in marvelous condition. If you ask me, the watch checks out totally, yet I do think that medaillon looks strange (or maybe I’m not used to seeing ones that are not slightly polished up due to normal wear)? Also there appears to be some colour difference between crown and case, but I have seen that on most of the goldcap c-connies. It does not have any T markings next to the swiss made on the dial (despite the tritium) but I’ve also seen that before. Serial dates it to 1969. What do you guys think of this piece? (Sorry for the bad pictures)
I personally would want to see bigger pics of the full dial and movement. I would have a very hard time considering it NOS without those. Also, what is the asking price?
Don’t worry about that almost NOS designation, thats something I slapped on there myself But what about that medaillon huh? (Two more pics)
That looks really sharp. Just pull the trigger! C case Connie is just underrated. They targetted Constellation as a dress watch. For me, for a dress watch, I like the less angular, more rounded C case Connie than Pie Pan with dog leg lug.
Might be the original one that has just shrunk over the the years? But still, either way, I agree .. A new one is needed
Wow! What a stunning example, it looks perfect and that dial looks sharp enough, then you get the case! Indeed we have to know the price, it must have been high but so very worth it. Wear it well!
