Buying Omega Seamaster 600 as first vintage watch

At first I have to say that I am a total newbie when it comes to vintage watches in general. I have tried to search for a watch from which I could start this hobby. I recently found Omega Seamaster 600 from 1964 (cal 601) in auction.

The dial and the case seem quite worn but the glass is new and it's functioning. However, there is no information about the history of this watch.

How much would be a reasonable price for this and do you think this authentic in first place? Thanks for the help!

I wouldn't buy that, full stop. This model is reasonably common and can be found in good condition fairly frequently on eBay. This example is massively over polished and has a terrible dial.

If I had to put a price on it, £150? Maybe a touch more. However, if I was offered it for £100 I'd turn it down.
