Hello everyone!

I was looking into buying my first Omega and was looking to confirm it legitimacy. I honestly have no clue. seller states its a 1950s sea-master. Thanks!

Any movement photos? Price seems good if movement checks out.

Better pictures of lugs and dial would help.

If it runs assume a service at about 300 or so it’s a must.

Do not ask Omega to do it. Ask here for local recommendations.

So, let me get this straight, you came here because you were buy- curious?

OF is getting a reputation.

You spends yo $$, you takes yo chances without movement shots.

Fair enough, I’ve found another one that’s a cal 1020. The seller is asking $340. Once again there’s no shots of the movement. Does this seem reasonable? Thanks in advance!

I am a dead set amateur at this watch stuff, but unless you can see the movement and verify its condition, serial number, cal with case back number and dial then case you could end up with literally anything from a bitsa to a completely bastardised watch, if the seller is not supplying pics of the needed details your instincts should definitely be aroused, caveat emptor. The seller may well be honest and if so will supply the pics without question if asked, I am already put off as the pics are not already included, and good pics not out of focus rubbish, pics of the item in question not copy pasted from God knows where. Best of luck, be wary and hesitant, but it's your coin.
