Today I randomly came across a brand new Limited Edition Seamaster Olympics from 2010. This was at an airport duty free boutique. It caught my eye right away with white dial and red bezel. It will come with the new 5 year warranty. What do you guys think? Should I pull the trigger? It is priced about $3700 USD. I think I can negotiate down a bit more. It’s hard for me to believe that a watch can sit unsold for 9 years!
I can see why it sat 9 years unsold, white dial cool, red bezel meh...not my cup of tea for sure but hey if you like it....
$3,700 USD plus the cost of a service, considering it's a 9-year-old watch. Plus, you'll need an assortment of rubber straps to match the colors of the Olympic rings.
July 2017 I was offered this same watch at the Vancouver OB. As it did not generate much interest I did not take a live picture at the time. I recall finding the Olympic symbol on the seconds hand a bit tacky and the white dial boring.
If I were Canadian and wanted to commemorate the event, I would have bought that surely with a decent discount.
I had it, it was a lovely watch but actually very challenging to read. Ended up flipping it due to that.
Hard pass for me, the color scheme does nothing for me and I do not like the olympic logo floating around the dial. I would get a 2254.50 in minty condition for 2k and call it a day.
The red and white isn't too bad; it's mostly the Olympic logo. I mean everyone has their own tastes though.
Fusion, You're right with that but once that box is already ticked you start looking for something more Special and then it needs to be the Vancouver or even the stunning Commander's watch to me
Does anyone know where I can get my hands on either a brand new or very good/excellent condition 2010 Olympic Vancouver seamaster?

I’m afraid I don’t but indie have one and sold it due to it being difficult to read. Beautiful watch though.
