I found this for sale and am wondering what the problem is. It looks clean, not very polished, the lume all seems to match, what am I missing? I haven't found the exact case and dial but lots that are similar. Crown may be a replacement but that's the only thing that jumps out at me. Thoughts?

I don't see any service marks in the caseback. Maybe the crown is original. I think the blemishes are on the crystal not the dial.

Why should there be a problem? Nobody bidding?

It's fine. Been for sale for some time, so apparently just priced ambitiously.

    It's a BIN at $295. I don't think that's particularly high. Am I wrong?

No, I agree that it's a reasonable price, and have considered the watch previously. But apparently we are in the minority. ;)

I like the watch. The only thing that has prevented me from pulling the trigger is that I would prefer sharper edges to the case.

Cool. I think that it is a very nice dial variation, and uncommon.

1969 model from the date code M9..... its sitting because I just don't think anybody wants a "less than a full diver" Bulova Oceanographer. There's nothing wrong with them, its just not the right name and model.

Too bad really, because its a nice watch in decent shape from a quality maker. Wouldn't mind it myself, but I'd would rather have the 666' full on diver version.

I think it is a second nature for the vintage watches lovers today, every time they see fair price it's automatically looks suspicious. But there are still some honest sellers out there.

Good point. I don't have a 333 and this one was calling my name. It was pretty freaky, actually.

If you like it, shoot the seller a price. I think it's high for a "non diver". I would expect a $.99 starting price on this watch would fetch $150ish. Now if it had a dive bezel, maybe $300.
