(Bulova) Accutron Astronaut M3 with coffin bracelet

1963 Accutron Astronaut by Bulova (per M3 caseback stamp and serial number range.)

Several things to note about this watch.
Serviced in Dec 2020 so runs well.
Correct vintage coffin bracelet was added by me and was not matched to watch at factory.
Dial is nice. (Judge for yourself.)
The hands show pitting.
The case is good. There's wear but no dents, nicks etc..
The bracelet is on my 7 1/4 wrist. It doesn't pinch but it is as big as it's going to get without new links.

I bought this watch from the son of the original owner (I don't have any documentation though, just the story.) His father was a barge captain on the Mississippi and loved this watch for it's accuracy. It was in his safety deposit box after he died, which also attests to how he felt about the watch.

My price is $1600 USD.

great piece if you have an astronaut collection of watches.

Hanging onto my Glycine 12 on top (if it ever gets back from the shop.) Hope you sent yours in. It's a long wait.

Congrats on the sale. To the right space watch collector, this is a great piece at a fair price. These are not everyone's jam, but they are seriously cool watches that deserve a little more respect than they get.
