I have seen the following connie advertised as not working with the following description:

Omega Constellation Automatic - Not Working
    .
For sale is this Omega Constellation Automatic Watch. The watch is currently not working and I am informed that the main spring has broken due to being over wound so am selling for repair or parts hence the low starting price. The case without the crown measures 40mm. I am not familiar with the Omega brand so the buyer purchases at their own risk.

As the title suggest, is this worth a punt or likely to be an expensive mistake?

It’s neither a budget Connie or a money pit.

    it’s fake.

Bent as a 9 bob note. Steer well clear.

Sounds like the seller knows what he has but wants to feel less guilty about it.

I should also note that from the description, the seller is fully aware it is a fake.
