Hi,

A while back, I bought a small beautiful Tissot for my wife. As it is getting a service right now, I am thinking of hunting for a correct buckle to add to the watch when it comes back. I have no idea what buckle it should be though, so I am hoping for your help.๐Ÿ˜€

Does anyone know what kind of buckle a watch like this should have?

Hi @davuj and welcome to the forum!

Tissot did not begin using signed buckles with their watches until the mid-1950s, and these buckles are uncommon and very hard to find.

Fortunately your watch dates to before that time, so you can use any generic steel buckle that looks something like this one:

This type of buckle is still made today, so you may be able to find a brand new strap with one attached

Thank you for the kind answers and suggestions. I'm very thankful (and updating the watch sales subforums daily in search for a 14/18k 50-60's omega).๐Ÿ˜€
