·A Selvyt cloth works pretty well too.
Just a bit of tarnish... Gold is reactive, though much less so than most base metals. I'd leave it alone.
I am not a fan of tarnish/patina (brown stains) on a gold watch or any watch, cases, bracelets or indices. I always deep clean a new to me watch. One never knows where a used watch may have been
The hour markers on your Watch looks a lot like the ones on my Seamaster below here. I've not been able to find pics of another Omega with these markers and that combined with a glued on omega symbol and a 12 O' clock marker there's bit twisted, I've never been sure if it's a redial, or not. Yours having similar markers does not mean mine can't be a redial, of course, but at least I now know there's other omegas with such markers... 😀
Ref.: 2577 17 SC and powered by a cal.: 351
Anyone seen one like it?
Thanks.
Paul
Blue Blitz cloth. $5 all over eBay:

This does not remove texturing on the metal. Some others, like the Cape Cod cloth will make it "Oooh...shiny".

Have you used the Blue Blitz cloth for tarnished gold capped or gold-filled watches? If so, results? Some cloths I have used removed the tarnish temporarily, returning shortly sometimes even more tarnished.

Sorry to bring back an old topic - would the dark red spots on my watch also qualify as 'tarnish'?
