I have been tempted by the Tudor Heritage Black Bay Bronze many times but never actually taken the final plunge
I have 6 Tudor Bucherer Tudor Bronze Oris Carl Brashear Lum-Tec M83 Christopher Ward C65 SH21 Is that enough do you think?
The Oris above would get my vote. The bezel has extra texture from the raised/recessed elements, that really works with with the bronze.
mine stays the same. It’s only been a few years. If I haven’t worn it for a while it looks a bit dark all round, then after a day or so it starts getting some highlights from normal sleeve/pillow contact etc. I really like it. People that make it turn colors speed it up artificially...there are ways to do that but I wouldn’t.
Bronze has been a serious part of my working life so a bronze watch is very appropriate. I have had a BB Bronze for 5 years and am waiting on FedEx today to deliver a Bronze bracelet. I'm trying the Zelos bracelet and see what I think. No big deal if I don't like it but it looks to be as well thought out as any and also Tudor don't seem inclined to sell their new bracelet to existing owners, not that it would be particularly affordable. If I do like it then I'll look at modifying the clasp to remove the insignia. Pictures once it has arrived, is fitted and has a little patina.
I'd get the Carl Brashear, being a fellow Navy man. That Oris just looks very good also, especially the bezel. I'm thinking of getting a bronze watch this year. Scurfa is coming out with a Diver One version this year - no He valve and titanium case back in brown, green, maybe blue. Should be an inexpensive way for me to try bronze. Would like a nice leather strap with bronze deployant clasp to wear it on but an MN strap should work.
Your dog bought you a watch! That’s awesome (and great taste as well). My cats are slow learners…or I’m a bad teacher
