0E484FA8-F178-4A1B-86DC-0FB3E1386003.jpeg I’ve taken a liking to bronze watches I have 2 of them a Tudor BB Bucherer and an Oris Carl Brashear. I’m am looking maybe to add more, what do others think any comment and opinions appreciated. They have not yet taken on a patina. BTW

I love the oris brashear - just an all round great looking watch.

I tried on the tudor but it was too big for me and I found the bronze to be a bit of an odd colour - the guy in the AD said it was due to the tudor bronze mix being designed not to age/patinate too quickly. I was hoping a bb58 size bronze was coming but no such luck.

After much pondering and searching I decided the second hand market price for the oris was too much for me and put my name down for the yema bronze on kickstarter... Cool watch and a nice price :)

Def want the oris one day though - great watch!

I got the Oris in a good deal off a private seller in The Netherlands €2400 including shipping to U.K.

Yep, that sounds about right. I'd just bought an aquis and was waiting on a bb58 so just couldn't justify the expense.

I was looking at the newer oris bronze chrono in a shop window yesterday and it was discolouring nicely - priced at about £3.5k though which seemed a tad steep!

I'm sure I'll end up buying the original oris brashear one day though but I'll see how I get on with the yema first.

I looked at the Christopher ward bronze too but couldn't get my head around the play school font and novelty second hand.

Photo of the oris chrono for good measure :)

Tried the Brashear at an AD once - an all around lovely watch. Maybe I should've pulled the trigger back then...

I prefer the one without the chrono which is the earlier one. I’ve gone off chrono’s makes the dial too cluttered for me. I am looking at an Aquis at the moment seem to be struck on Oris.

I agree, the earlier non chrono is a better looking watch for sure.

Oris are cool... I'm going to pick up the Dylan watch one of these days!

@kov that is a cool looking watch - I hadn't heard of them, definitely going to check them out right now! :)

Cool but strong strong price! Figured this was a kickstarter watch. 2650 CHF?

That's exactly what I thought to be honest!

To be fair to them that is a seriously limited edition... 50 pieces! Puts most other 'limited editions' to shame! Like the way you can easily pick you own number though...That's a pretty cool touch.

Where did you find the watch with all the verdigris. On the Titanic?

I’m not especially into Bronze but that does look lovely. Fortunately, for my bank balance, they’re sold out of green.

Oris diver 65 bronze...just a little bronze around the bezel. Subtle date, vintage style/size, good fit on a tropical rubber strap or leather.

Talking of Oris, what do you think of the Aquis strap connection to the watch it’s certainly different and restricts choices greatly.

I love the Brashear and that Laventure watch look really neat, I don't get why people want the "patina" though, I think it looks terrible going all rusty lol.

the bashear is a huge watch. it seems like most of the bronze pieces are large in size
