    Hi gents,

    If a connie has a observatory with brickwork does it mean the entire caseback is gold or just the medallion?

    I saw this watch...

    Then remembered something I read about the brickwork on the observatory meaning that the caseback is gold. Obviously, not the "case" here

    There is an essay on Desmond's site about medallions
    I think the early brickwork medallions were reserved for gold cases (?) but changed later on
