Haha those are some cheap ass watches. Look at my Breitling instead, the first vintage watch I ever bought. As you can see I did my research. And no, the watch isn’t small it’s actually rather big, I just have some gorilla size wrists... 😗

Oh Henneth, I’m sorry. You should start a thread on “my first time” and kick off the theme of what have we learned from this.

Those Breitlings are amazing. That one JW has really gets me. I always troll the antique stores when I can looking for the odd watch. Usually just come up with an old bulova, Hamilton or the occasional dinged up omega . A few weeks ago I found a Breitling that would have been beautiful but it was decked out with so many rubies and diamonds it was actually hideous. Obviously someone loved the watch but it will be a hard sell with all that personalization.

Those bejeweled Breitlings are often fakes- beware.
And don’t discount the Bulova’s- some of us love them. Not gonna clutter this new thread with Bulova talk but check out the Bulova thread. Old Hammy’s are cool too.

Yes I won’t derail the thread when I made the bulova and Hamilton comment I just meant the ones I’ve acquired weren’t special. That particular Breitling was real but I wasn’t looking to purchase, first off it was about the size of a dinner plate second if I ever did but it I would be in the dog house for having more diamonds on a watch than on the ring I bought my wife way back when.

Ya, I like those Breitling machines! 👍

I’m fortunate to have received my first Breitling [and my first mil watch] from @Darlinboy...thanks again, dude! 👍

It’s a Korean War era [circa 1952] U.S. mil issued navigation watch...I’ve been carrying it quite a bit lately and I’ve been able to regulate it to about +1 second per 24 hours.

Fairly recent file pics...

That’s a stunning dial. That should made a wrist watch. I’ll be in for one.
