Hello - Was considering purchasing this watch, but wanted to get feedback form the community in terms of originality. It appears to be original, but also looks as though it could be restored from NOS parts at Breitling service facility. Any feedback greatly appreciated. https://dreamwatch.de/marken/breitl...-chronograph-vintage-3-register-ref.-810?c=56
Not keen on two of those sub dial hands ? Not seen a period dial, with ‘Mille’ & ‘KM’ marked on it before ? The lume looks suspiciously clean, & fresh ? It has been well polished, but there’s corrosion on the pusher stems ? There is no clear image of the movement ? Be careful…it was ‘de rigueur’ to fake Breitling…long before Rolex’s became the watch of choice
I suspect it's genuine but as mentioned the lume is too perfect to be an oldie and the fact that there's still some corrosion on the hard-to-access-with-a-buffer pusher stems makes the lack of good movement pics worrisome. To me the watch looks like it has gone thru a major cosmetic make-over. .
This is supposed to be a MK2 810? MK1.1 64-65 (top loader monocoque cases, in silver or reverse panda) Mk1.1s can be reverse panda and have applied tritium markers and no red hand MK1.1s can be all silver dial with applied markers MK 1.2 65-66 (snap back monocoque, only in reverse panda configuration) MK 1.2 has applied lume markers and again only in reverse panda Mk 2 67- til end of production has applied indexes and a and ONLY 69-72 would have a red hand. This example has incorrect dial, hands, logo, crown Dial should say SWISS on the left of 6 o’clock register and MADE T on the right of the 6 o’clock register 'Geneve" should have a flat V Lume is off Case has been polished Caseback MAY be correct No pic of V178 or serial I would ask a lot of questions and get more input from the Breitling experts of which I am not
