Breitling Top Time Mark 2, circa '67-'68, 38.5mm case, Venus 178 movement, serviced, 12 month mechanical guarantee and a new Hirsch croc strap.

    Taken from Fratello Watches:

The Breitling Top Time 810 is one of those watches that has been hunted down by purists and is often mentioned on forums as a beautifully pure classic chronograph. However, similar to most Breitlings, it hasn’t become a real “darling” on the auction block. Like most older chronographs, values have risen and no matter the execution, decent stainless models now seem to safely command between $4,000 – 5,000. On the one hand, this is in stark contrast to prices only 2-3 years ago (when I bought my Mark 2) that hovered in the $1,500 – 2,000 range, but Top Time values still pale in comparison to Carreras of the same era. To me, that signals a bargain and one that won’t likely last.

The watch is unpolished with a sharp case, no dents or dings. Correct hands, correct signed crown and with all original parts. The panda dial has a tiny mark at 95 and 120 otherwise it is spotless. All lume pips are original and in place, this is sometimes hard to find with these as they are so small.

    Some pictures.

The watch was collected from service on the 24/01/18 and comes with a 12 month mechanical guarantee from that date.

Very nice watch, and at least 20% of the price of a 2447SN.
    Best of luck

A few people have asked me to confirm the year. The serial is 1191492 so this dates the watch to 1967. Correct for a Mark 2.

    Thanks.
