Hi All, I'm a long time Omega fan, variety is the spice of life so they say and I'm looking at Breitling. Does anyone have any knowledge that they could share regards the Top Time 2000? Please see photos of one I'm looking at- what do you think? Is it all present and correct? Thanks in advance Nathan
Thanks - do you have more info? See this thread - applies to vintage OMega as well as any vintage watches. Secondly - what has your own research thrown up about the Top Time 2000?
i owned a steel version before but bought my interested friend. sean connery once wore a toptime in dr. no movie, if i recall.
Thanks, that's helpful. I don't own this watch, but I'm considering buying. I have little info other than the seller has owned for approx. 10 years. In addition I believe that this Watch is a monocoque i.e. Front loader, so there's no pictures of the movement. So it's a bit more difficulty to verify than an Omega. In terms of my research I've seen other sold examples on the internet from a noobs perspective this example seems correct, but I'm concerned I don't have the detail to verify I.e. there's not a Chronomaddox type source for Breitling Top Time as far as I know. So over to you O' learned ones! Thanks
some info here https://thespringbar.com/blogs/guides/collectors-guide-to-breitling-top-time; also there's a member around here who is very knowledgeable on these vintage Breitlings..I just can't recall name or previous threads...
Thank you both so much, that is fantastic material - so I now know it's a 2000-4 Reverse Panda with a Venus movement and that's just for starters. I'm not yet sure from the owner if it's monocoque or if it is supposed to be. The great news is that the watch has a great back story - Bond films and Carry On. Does anyone have an opinion on the one I'm looking at, please? Good , bad or indifferent . Your opinion would be greatly appreciated. Nathan
Thanks for your help, much appreciated. Watch bought and collected. A bit of a buff up and a new strap! Now to find a Panda version to make a perfect pair!
I'm a fan of vintage Top Times, and think they are still are really good value with similar appeal to much more expensive Heuer Carreras. Here's mine.
The top time was in Thunderball Happened to watch it a couple of days ago and paused the film to look at the watch This is the watch
