Breitling Premier Dial Variations and Tolerances

Hi all,

So 2 weeks ago I bought the Premier B01 Panda. I have to say I love the watch, however, after a few days on the wrist I noticed that on the dial the applied markers are all offset very slightly to the left and I initially took this to be a flaw. So before kicking up a stink at an AD I took to the web and decided to look at some photos for other Premiers for comparison. Sure enough I found lots of instances of the same thing, in some cases markers were applied at a slight angle as well.

Now, for a watch with a £6,600 price tag I was surprised that this amount of variation could occur so consistently, that is until I started looking at other watches... the Patek I have provided a photo of retails around the 50k mark and it too displays variations when it comes to the applied markers in relation to the second track on the dial.

It's gotten me thinking, what do others think about this? Clearly it's down to tolerance at the factory but do you consider it below the standards you would expect? Or is it a detail that you consider to be a unique identifier for your watch or do you just not care either way?

I was pissed off at the slightly misaligned bezel on my Seamaster 300m diver but that was £4.4k in comparison to the Breitling/Patek. In your shoes, I possibly would be kicking up a stink. They should honour their warranty and consider this a defect, I suppose? Beautiful watches by the way...

The 6 on the Brietling is not be 100% happy about the others are virtually unnoticeable.

the Patek I do not see it. It’s lighting, those markers are 3 sided not 2 sided.

On the metal bracelet breitling, I’d be more concerned by the chrono not resetting to zero. I can’t really notice the markers on that one..

(edit, I can now)

I will pop in next week and see what they say, its not a huge deal but I was surprised. 4.4k is not to be sniffed at I would expect that bezel to be lined up!

Pretty confident its not lighting, I've seen the same watch from different angles. I've also seen other versions of that reference with the same tolerances.

You clearly see other markers are 3 sided...

Yes 3 sides... well 5 if you count the ends. They look correctly positioned to me.
Maybe we aren't talking about the same thing, I'm referring to the gap between the applied markers and second track. It's easier to see on my phone where I can zoom in.
