·On offer is a 1998 Breitling Navitimer Reference A11022.1 Japan-only limited edition "Mecanique", number 226 of 400.
Movement: Breitling cal. 11; Lemania cal. 1873 based; manual wind
Power Reserve: ≈42 hours
Water Resistance: 30m
Crystal: Mineral Glass
Diameter: 41.5mm
Thickness: 13.3mm
Lug width: 22mm
Features: Exhibition case back; no date; gilt dial; unique packaging
As can be seen from the attached photos, the watch is in near mint condition. The watch is all original and correct - even the strap is original. There are light swirls on the steel and the strap is somewhat worn, but the rest of the watch is perfect. The only point of note is that the bezel rotates more freely than my other Navitimers, although most of those are possibly considered too stiff.
The watch has no service history, but is running very well. I did asked Michael Arraiza, Horologist, to look at the bezel when I was having other watches serviced. He said that the rotation of the bezel is a function of the bezel spring and that he couldn't do anything to change how it is weighted.
This watch comes with a full collectors set, which is very rare. In addition to the usual boxes and papers that came with Breitling Navitimers from that era, it includes the little wooden stand that is unique to this reference, a limited edition certificate, and even the Japanese Club Breitling card issued to the original owner. You can see from the photos that all the numbers and dates match.
The negotiable price is $5450, but paid to me in the equivalent Australian dollars.
Feel free to contact me with questions or to request more high-resolution photos. Other than that, the watch is located in regional New South Wales in Australia and we will discuss delivery or shipping as part of the transaction negotiations.
I have been a watch collector for over 20 years and have references from past watch sales and purchases. I have also been an eBay member for 21 years with a 100% feedback score. More importantly, I am a hobbyist who is heavily invested in the Australian and International watch scene through many forums and Facebook groups, and most well known (if I am known at all) as knowledgeable about Navitimers and other select Breitling stuff.
