·On offer is a 1964 Breitling Navitimer Reference 806 with the small reverse-panda sub-dials and "Twin Jets" logo.
As can be seen from the attached photos, the watch is in excellent condition, especially given it is 57 years old. The watch is all original (except the crystal) and correct...and evidently has never been polished as the facets on the lugs are still razor sharp as they should be on a Breitling watch from that era. There are light scratches on the steel, age spots on the dial and slide rule, and the lume is discoloured, but everything fits together tightly and the operation of the movement is crisp. In short, this is a good honest example of a classic vintage Navitimer.
The watch was fully serviced in Sydney in 2020 by Michael Arraiza, Horologist, who is a certified Breitling watchmaker, and only the crystal was replaced. It is just out of the service warranty.
There are no original boxes or papers, but the watch will come in a new modern Breitling box that includes a very nice travel case, with some documents including a practice slide rule and re-print of the original Navitimer manual. I have mounted the watch on the brand new box-stitched strap pictured.
The negotiable price is $6400, but paid to me in the equivalent Australian dollars.
