    Breitling has had some variation of this for years. Doesn't appeal to me, unless Pauly and The Nose drive me deep into the Pine Barrens.

    If I remember correctly, there's a big fine if you accidentally set off the transmitter in a non-emergency situation. I think that alone would prevent me from buying one, because I would probably do that within a week...

    I watched an episode of Pawn Stars where a guy tried to pawn one of these. I think they are used by the Swiss Air Force and they said on the show that there is a big fine if you set the transmitter off accidentally.I would think this would be a novelty watch for most.

    Yep BIG fine! My friend has the older style. The new one has been priced stupidly to get rid of the people that have no need for it though.

    On this side of the pond you don't get fined, you just get billed by the rescue services for a false call out. How much an hour is a Sea King and crew? Having said that, you might get to meet Prince William.
