The Marie Kondo clean-out continues. This watch gives me immense joy to look at, but I bought it from the original owner and had goals of servicing / wearing it often, haven't ultimately fulfilled them. Time to move it on to someone who will do so. I am far from a Breitling expert, but as I understand it from the owner and subsequent research, this example is all original and unmolested. I casually track the general market for 769's and have seen few that are as well preserved as this example (at this price). On to the description:

Dial: The watch is stunning in-person, with the contrasting surfaces that "flip flop" in appearance (matte vs. shimmery) depending on the lighting. Original radium lume is intact on all numerals. The pictures below should speak for themselves.

Hands: Original syringe hands with blued steel finishing are in excellent condition. Sub-dial hands are also original and in excellent condition.

Case: Solid 18kt case is in great condition, with sharp case lines and intact engravings. Pushers show very little wear. Worth noting that the case takes "female" spring bars, which, yes, can still be sourced. Crown may be original but I have not studied the 769's enough to know what is correct. Case dimensions: 36mm x 12mm (18mm lugs).

Movement: The Chronomat utilizes a Venus 175 movement. This movement is in good shape with no corrosion, but does not run. I believe the issue may be with the stem, rather than the movement itself, as it wouldn't budge when attempting to wind and I did not try to force it. I bought the watch knowing it did not run and it has been on my list to address for over a year, but I never got around to it. The cost of a thorough service has been factored into the price, as all other 769's in this condition are listed for $6K+.

Accessories: None, watch is sold head only.

My asking price is $3,000, which includes fully insured Fedex Priority shipping. Payment via PayPal (F&F or add 3% if using PP) or direct bank wire. US sale strongly preferred. Face-to-face in Chicago is also welcome for local buyers. Finally, I have plenty of references available as a buyer and seller that I can provide if necessary. Thanks for looking and thanks to OF for the space.

The winding crown alone is worth it. Very beautiful!

Surprised to see this one not sold yet. Looks like a bargain compared to much else on the market....

Glad to see it sold. I wanted it, but I have a strict "must buy my wishlist in this order" policy. Hated to see it seemingly unloved.
