Having to rationalise my collection , this lovely Breguet 3237 chrono does not get the wrist time it deserves. A gentlemans dress piece at 36mm in 18K hallmarked gold is up for sale at $9750 US. OBO. The almost unmarked case is in vgc, some swirls and one of the threaded spring bar screws is scuffed on the head (could be polished out). The case appears to have not been polished or maybe sparingly. The beautifully finished manual winding movement is a joy to behold. Notice the balance cock and bevelled edges (anglage) on the plates and bridges, This essentially is a highly modified and embellished Omega/ Lemania 320 movement. Which is very closely related to the 321 movement but incorporates four more jewels. The Cal. 666, rhodium-plated, fausses côtes decoration, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber with self-compensating Breguet balance spring, micrometer regulator. The movement is adjusted for heat and cold in 5 positions. I have added a pic of a 320 movement to see the similarity and heritage from the Lemania CH27,( later it became the Lemania 2310) which was also used by Patek in their sophisticated 3970 chrono. The unmarked silver two tone dial is in the guilloche style, which Breguet is famous for. Polished chapter ring , blued steel "Breguet" hands and roman numerals on pale white "eggshell" guilloche dial . Allied with the distinctive coin edge case band give the watch a classy ambiance harking back to yesteryear. The "marks " you can see between the lugs on the "6" side are in fact hallmarks only really discernable with a loupe. It comes with the original Breguet croc strap and Breguet 18K gold buckle with threaded buckle bar in good condition. My watchmaker has looked at it and said it does not need a service atm. Breguet box but no papers. I will include the gold mesh ion deposit bracelet if required. This bracelet matches well and has a feminine touch and "saves" the genuine Breguet strap.
