It's weird how these pop up seemingly out of nowhere, as New, Old Stock. Maybe Omega is cleaning out some dark, dusty closet somewhere
There is one in the Omega shop at Larnaca airport, Cyprus. They've had one for sale for at least the last 2 years, might even be the same one if no one has bought it.
i am from Cyprus and I've tried on that watch 3 weeks ago while traveling to Paris, its still there. the dealer that has the duty free shop is an authorized omega (as well as all the other big brands) dealer in Cyprus.
I get the feeling what sometimes happens is they sit in ADs or stores in areas where they're unpopular or don't get much traffic that can afford them and end up going back to the distributor. I nearly bought a Gemini 4 in about 2011/2012 brand new from an AD and it was like $4k AUD which is like $3k AUD, it had been sitting in the back of a retail display case in a CBD store where it couldn't really be seen let alone fully appreciated, the store was shut when I came back a month later and it had gone back into the pool at the AU distributor, never found where it went.
Well, guess someone else will enjoy his watch and benefit from the potential profit of having its box set signed by 4 of the 5 astronauts from that mission: Killed by a bat!
