·Anyone experienced this with a new watch. Not something I typically check for, never have with any of my collection since the date is always set by the boutique prior to handoff after sale. Does this require service?

·So when they assemble the movement they "set" the time with no hands. Once it kicks over the date they put the hands on it set to midnight. Never heard of one being off from the factory.

·This is likely not a movement issue. If it changes at the same time every 24 hours the hands were put on the watch incorrectly. As noted, it's an easy fix.
Where did you buy the watch? From an AD or OB? This doesn't sound like something that would happen with an Omega straight from the factory.
