is there a thread or online guide to which bracelets were offered with/for each model? Perhaps a collection of factory literature showing bracelets with model numbers cross referenced to which watches they are suited?

The first thread is a great pictorial but is very Speedy-centric and I am on a 50’s/60’s Seamaster kick these days. The list on the second is awesome, will have to plow through that cross referencing google to see what’s what.

I got this bracelet on a pre-Deville Seamaster and the endlinks fit up perfectly. I assumed it was from a later watch as I only ever see the BOR’s on these things but it has me scratching my head about if it’s original to the watch, and what other bracelets were available in the 50’s/60’s, and if later ones will fit the earlier ones with correct endlinks.

I have been doing my best to compile some kind of spreadsheet of watches with bracelets I have found on them. I think I have about 200 at the moment, but always looking to add more.

This bracelet looks like it fits the lugs really well. I think SMDV after this period came with 70 endlinks (and later 570), with bracelet references 1503, 1037, 1068 and 8270. I don't know what bracelet originally came with these pre-deville Seamasters.

I looked up the clasp number but couldn’t find it anywhere. Is this an uncommon bracelet? The fit though is perfect so I can only assume it is correct for the case shape.
I would love to see more non-BOR bracelet options from the bumper era through the late 60’s to see what was/is available.

Oh, I have seen Tissot bracelets of the same period that were much different than the typical Omega offerings so maybe there was some cross-polenizing going on there.

From my recollection it is relatively rare, the way it got onto the table was this FS post: https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-8260-bracelet-with-50-end-links.70816/. I think that is the only one I have seen so far.

Regarding the non-BOR bracelets up to the 70s, it is important to remember that although the lug sizes may fit, the actual endlink may have an entirely different profile to the lug shape, this means that not all 18mm endlinks from the period will fit all 18mm lugs. The only non-BOR bracelet which springs to mind is the 1120/116, which is a Milanese type bracelet. This which originally came most commonly on the Chronostops, although I have seen some on other models, such as C shape Constellations. You might also have some luck with a flatlink, but I think that it will be too tall for the lugs. Unfortunatley outside of case-specific variations, at 18mm there was pretty much a flatlink or a BOR to choose from.

I have a similar bracelet as the OP's. Unlike the OP's the clasp is not numbered nor are the endpieces. The endpieces are slightly different - my outside edges are not indented.

Can we assume these are the same time period? Around ‘61/62?
This bracelet looks like a cousin of the later “bricks” style that came on the Connie’s.
Anyone else got any early non-BOR Seamaster bracelets?

I’ve read here that during these earlier days, bracelets were an option and the watches typically came on leather (correct me if I’m wrong). Did the dealers have a catalog to choose from? If so, anyone got one?

I think early sixties is a good guess as to when these were produced. I do agree that it looks like an early form of brick bracelet.

This is correct, I have not seen if there is a catalogue if one exists.
