Hi, According to this ref a Speedmaster 145.022 has an 1171 bracelet. Is it possible a 74-er Speedmaster has a 1172/1 bracelet? Is this original? What is the difference between these two bracelets? Best, Matth
Hello, it should be the 1171. Here's a great resource about vintage bracelets. https://omegaforums.net/attachments/omega-speedmaster-bracelet-history-png.154102/ 1172 - don't know that one at all...
A 1171/1 is a newer version of the 1171 bracelet. Have a look at this helpful chart: https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-speedmaster-bracelet-chart.29051/
Agree. Saw this one for $600 here on OF. I won’t say it is expensive but for me it is still a lot of money. Is there someone here who maybe has a second hand 1171/633 bracelet with end links for sale for me? Best, Matth
Plenty of 1171's about with a bit of patience. I'd say decent ones come up for sale pretty much weekly.
I probably have not been in the business for long enough ... I would have estimated a price around $ 500 / $ 600. What do you think? Is this realistic?
Do you need a vintage one or a modern one? A modern 1171/1 isn't, strictly speaking, correct for a vintage 145.022. You'd need a 1171.
True, and to be clear I need a 1171/633 with endlinks because my Speedmaster is from 1974. The 1171/1 is introduced a few years later I believe, so otherwise it won’t be original.
The current 1171/633 that you can buy new in AD as a retail price of $420. Now originality is ok but if you wnat to wear the watch with a bracelet that visually is identical to the vintage 1171, well you can get the newer one. I had the same problem but i really consider buying the current 1171/633 (which is cheaper than many vintahe i saw ) and live in peace, especially because my speedy is not going anywhere
Thanks Mancio, could be an option. But thinking about the current prices of the 1171/633 vintage bracelets makes it for me more and more interesting to buy a few NATO straps. What do you think? Is a 145.022 and a NATO strap a good alternative? Matth
