Jesus, how poor are some of these sellers about knowing their merchandise?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/60s-Longine...829822857?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item460adacf89Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network That's a modern Longines less than 10 years old, not from the 1960's!
That's pretty funny - and this watch-navi guy flogs a lot of vintage watches. Some of these heritage editions are so close to the original that they fool the inexpert eye. One of the Heuer guys scored off the reverse error, when a vendor posted a vintage blue Silverstone as a modern re-edition and sold it for the modern price - about a third of what a vintage blue would cost.
Here's quite a franken: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-LON...765010625?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2c6a7b0ec1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network The serial number on the 30L puts it at 1958. The Gerald Genta C-case design wasn't introduced until December of 1964 - and by Omega at that! Without seeing the inside of the caseback, I'd wager it's an Ultra-Chron case, a model that was introduced in very late 1966 or early 1967. Nice little spacer they made to fit that caliber inside, eh?

Attention all you vintage watch nuts who are interested in both Omega and Longines but don't have the budget to get a Flaghip and a Constellation: Here's a Flagstellation! ..... or is it a Constellaship? http://www.ebay.com/itm/GORGEOUS-VT...842450264?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item4d07bf2958Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Nice star, huh? Sorting through junk Longines listings is almost as bad as horrid Omega listings.
I bet it does not have a medallion behind as they have worded it in front. Who wants a medallion on the back when you can't see it while you are wearing one.
