Well this one is a bit of heavy lifting. A 32mm boysize seamaster, 2828 -1 sc, 470 movement. I've never actually worked on a 470 and this definitely needs a lot of work... I'm excited.

    Things to do:
    1. Lower automatic bridge is missing
    2. upper automatic bridge is missing
    3. reverser wheel is missing
    4. reduction wheel is missing
    5. ratchet driving wheel is missing
    6. automatic click is missing
    7. mainspring probably need to be replaced
    8. gaskets need work
    9. oh and yeah needs a full service

Any advice, past experience, anything please let me know because I'm gonna need some help on this one

Sadly because the dial and hand condition. Still going to look like crap after you sink a few hundred into it

Sell it or toss into a junk box

Don't call it a Boy size. It takes a man to wear a 2828. image.jpeg
When I purchased this I could barely see a textured dial through the scratched Crystal. The hands, stem, and crown were incorrect because someone had stuffed a quartz movement in there! I found a 470 with rotor issues, sorted then out and sourced NOS hands and a crown. My avatar is of a redial from a 2828. I would risk cleaning your dial as it needs it. Have fun with your project!

Gorgeous watch, and the dial alone makes me want to go out and hunt down a textured. Mine definitely needs a lot of cleaning, I'll have to see how much I can do, who knows. And yeah it will definitely be fun tinkering, like Christmas morning all over again

Wasn't really looking to turn this into a wearable for myself since I'm 240 lbs. Bought it mostly just for the experience of working on a 470, also I think most of the dial's problems is just dirt I'll have to get in there and see... But you are probably right haha

I am too big for this watch as well but I think my wife would enjoy one very much. She definitely isn't interested in patina so she would be thrilled with a redial or NOS waffle. It need to look pretty! :p I think she would like @Giff2577 watch. What width band do these require?

The lug spacing is 17mm even. That is why I have an aftermarket BOR on it instead of an Omega.
