12 year old stealing cars and driving happens everyday :whistling::whistling: The only reason it hit the news is the car was actually owned by his parents :eek:

The old '90 BMW 525i which is now my sister's has 340k on it now and is still barely broken in so it'd definitely have made it. If I had any sense of direction I'd have maybe given it a go but for reason I don't, like at all.

I always thought when getting my license I'm a man, I've sailed yachts, I'll develop a sense of direction and know my way around town... but it never happened. So whenever the maps are outdated / incorrect on my 17 year old 330ci's GPS (with 2010 maps) I end up totally lost and on the side of the road trying to figure it out with my iPhone.

There's no way I'd make it to Sydney safely let alone Perth, and they Sydney trip has an Ocean you can use to guide your journey.

I find my 93 e34 525iT wagon the best long distance cruiser there is, among many other uses. I'd have totally gone the distance there, and might have just given the cops the slip. :p

Navy Recruit School, many years ago.

I remember driving from the Naval base at Crib Point (Victoria) to Bordertown (South Australia) because a group of us South Aussies had a hakerin' for a proper pastie.

I think the Friday afternoon beers had a bit to do with the decision.

550 kilometres on a Friday night to the roadhouse, 550 back to base with pasties, real ones!

Sydney to bloody Melbourne on a Vespa?!? That is utterly staggering, I'd be seriously dealing with numb bum halfway into that in a heated leather car seat.
