having taken delivery of an early X-33 this morning, and knowing that the strap was a) original to the watch, and b) skanky, I called into the local boutique to find out about a replacement. Pleasantly surprised to find that the original "double rib" is just £109, and the facelift "coloured kevlar" are £106 each. Makes £140 for a Nato seem even more of a rip off...
I saw... and was a little worried that I'd picked up a cheap X-33 and it was about to become an expensive X-33 because of the strap cost. Called UK Customer service for part number/price - they say that when ordered through a boutique, the boutique should also give you a new clasp/tang free of charge (not deployment) - which makes the boutique an even cheaper option than some of the parts suppliers. There's a guy on eBay selling them for £300... which seems a little nuts given the Boutique pricing. The titanium bracelet is £800 though... so swings and roundabouts.
and it apparently (no expert here) fits on the Apollo XI-45th too. I would do this if I had the $ for the speedy!
Maybe a little high for a used one that's missing a few links (I think a brand new one will go up to 8.5" wrist?)...?
I didn't look too closely as I have one already. Picked this up used. Links are "cheap", maybe even from a sympathetic OF member...... PS good choice on the XL green Kevlar, regular length is really quite short. On the other hand the dual ridge coramide regular length is just right.
The standard Coramide comes up a little short for me (I'm on the last hole!), was tempted by an XL Coramide, but thought it might be fun to throw in a little colour
