This is the info I got from the seller and I paid 1.200 USD. Is this a good buy and a good watch? I am no professional but liked the look of the watch and the metal strap. It seems to be in a good shape and according to the seller it runs fine. If anybody could enlighten me, I would be grateful, ivarb
No expert will take a stab - Polished but medallion still looks good as well as bracelet. I might be concerned about what looks like the bubbles on the dial face as I understand that it tends to get worse over time and there isn't much that can be done. But I'd wait to hear from the more experienced here
Watch looks very nice. I think you did OK on the price, if it doesn't need a service. You should at least have it inspected by a watchmaker before making that determination. Seen these go higher and seen them go lower. gatorcpa
I agree with gator, also it looks like the rotor was rubbing at some point. It would be good to see if that issue was already addressed.
The watch is very nice in my books. Movement looks clean and dial is with crosshair (those are nice IMO). I also like the fact that the aging effect on the gradient of the pie pan creates a two tone effect. Sweet watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think you did great! It's wonderful! Plus the bracelet is worth at least 2, probably closer to $300 and that watch is worth a lot more than a grand! IMHO... It is really a great combination too that style. 14381 is one of the best and a lot of folks favorite reference, so good job!
Beautiful bracelet, beautiful watch. I don't think it's been over-polished---look at the bevels on the lugs.
Hejsa! I followed the auction too, and think you did fine. I personally think that the price is reasonable for the market (Denmark, Lauritz.com, that particular ref.). The bracelet is a good addition, and I believe that the patina on the dial isn't severe enough to affect the overall condition to a serious degree
case seems in good condition. movement may need some attention as some others have remarked. Welcome to the forum!
Thank you very much all of you! I will certainly have it inspected by a watchmaker (although the cost of a complete service in Scandinavia is about a third of the price of the watch...)
