Paid full ask because I didn't think it would last long. Pristine, all original, unpolished, 7912/6 bracelet. Dial, lume, DON bezel, hands, movement number, movement all look fine to me. Even the crown is original.

Except for needing a service I hope this is a Good+ on the Speedmaster101 scoreboard plus the nice 7912/6 makes this fairly priced at full ask.

Comments please. What did I miss?

No. Sorry, I though you wanted to know the purchase price which is easy enough for all to see on Ebay.

    Adjusted to Two Positions.
I forget the verdict on that. Was this movement in a Speedmaster a possibility? Or was it determined to be on Seamaster movements only?
It looks great regardless. Congrats! I think your quick decision was a good one.

    Hi

    Lovely looking watch !

For me (& based on what I have read to date) , the movement is correct for a Speedmaster if it has both 'OXG' and 'Adjusted 2 positions'.

Wow, that's a really good looking watch. I think I need to step up my game and get myself one of those speedies now!
    Congrats and enjoy the watch!

Looks good, I mean its a lot of money but there's a lot of people spending a lot of money on watches that have an asterisk next to them, this one really seems asterisk free, movement serial is in the correct range within the 105.002 block for the stick hands to be correct too.

well i would like to see a less worked on image.

Always nice to find an 002 but I cannot see the watch properly to judge the finer points -

Are the hands newer than the dial?
What is the actual colour of the dial?
How damaged is the minute track?

As I said these are finer points and the watch does look OK so far, but once I start paying big money, as it is here, I want to be moved by the watch when I look at it, and I just cannot tell in the photo.

Please don't take it as a criticism at all, I just want to know more as I love seeing these.

    Hi SF

I think you will find that it is minor scratching to the surface of the plexi and not damage to the minute track.

    Movement looks spanking !

    Instant Gratification!

Seller is only 60 miles from me so I drove to pickup new addition. Watch , chrono run fine although a service is, of course, needed. 7912/6 is good, expansion links are a-ok.

This 105.002 is certainly the cream of my collection. All original.....even the crown. Dial, hands, lume, bezel, pushers Are all fist rate. Case never polished. Seller bought from first owner (an 1960,s Air Force Pilot) and it sat in a safe for 10 years. Seller is avid collector. Owns 2915-2, 2998-5 among others. This watch has been well taken care of. After a dinner out with friends we had a photo shoot. Only minor issue is scratch oncase back. Scratch adds character. Might have happened in an F105 punching through the sound barrier....:)

There even enough links in the 7912 to fit my wrist loosely!

Btw, the dial is flawless. Any imperfections are scratches in crystal.

Always great to see a watch turn out to be as good or better than it did online... kudos, and Congrats!

I'm curious, does the smaller case of the 105.002 feel significantly smaller than the newer one? Or is it hardly noticeable?
