Hi all, wonder if you can help me please? I bought a buckle on Ebay which was listed as "new" and "gold plated". The bar across the middle is 10mm. It was £8.50. When it arrived I started to doubt it's authenticity. It looks and feels a little cheap. Could I ask your thoughts please? Under the buckle it states "SWISS" then "PLAQUE G" underneath. The seller only had one for sale, among other watch parts...
Just my off the cuff thoughts here. eBay + ridiculous low price = most likely fake. Not really a formula for success.
To me it looks like an early dynamic buckle. I would doubt these get faked. Page 483 of a journey through time. They have both mens ands women's buckles.
I'm certainly not one to jump on the "fake" bandwagon but two questionable parts for me. First, the Omega symbol, too thin at the top of the arch. Poor lost-wax casting. Second, the spring bar completely doesn't fit. Yeah, might have been replaced, but not if it's NOS. Tom
